Clare Holman is an English actress born on January 12, 1964, in London, UK. She is best known for her role as Dr. Laura Hobson in the popular British TV series "Inspector Morse." She reprised the role in its spinoff series "Lewis."

Holman studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama, London, and started her acting career with a small role in the 1983 TV series "Dramarama." She has since appeared in numerous theatre, film, and TV productions.

Apart from her work on "Inspector Morse" and "Lewis," Holman is known for her roles in "The Lakes," "The Bill," "Waking the Dead," "Silent Witness," and "New Tricks." She has also acted in several films, including "Let Him Have It," "Anna and the King," and "Under the Skin."
